US Distributed Bioindustrial Manufacturing Program

As I’ve written before, infrastructure, infrastructure, infrastructure, the three most important things for developing new technologies to grow enough food to feed the growing global population within planetary boundaries. It’s great to see companies like Australias’ own Cauldron Ferm and US company The EVERY Company each receiving a grant under the US Department of Defense’s Distributed Bioindustrial Manufacturing Program designed to encourage scaling and infrastructure development.

Each applicant can access to up to $100 million to construct U.S.-based bioindustrial manufacturing facilities.” A good start, but I’d suggest that an extra zero or two will be needed if the DOD is serious about infrastructure development!
